The Blue Hills RVT Warriors won the last time they faced the Keefe Tech Broncos, and things went their way on Friday too. Blue Hills RVT came out on top in a nail-biter against Keefe Tech and snuck past 55-53. Given Blue Hills RVT's advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while Keefe Tech is ranked 246th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Keefe Tech lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Eidan Toppa, who scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Toppa has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of George Anastos, who scored 13 points.
Blue Hills RVT has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. As for Keefe Tech, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blue Hills RVT's road trip will continue as they head out to face Norton at 6:30 p.m. on February 12th. As for Keefe Tech, they will challenge Maynard at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maynard is coming into the match with three straight losses at home, meaning Keefe Tech will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
