The Arcadia Apaches will venture away from home to challenge the San Dimas Saints at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Arcadia is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.
Arcadia's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They blew past Paramount 8-0. The Apaches might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by seven runs or more this season.
Arcadia got a great performance from Samantha Almaraz as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Almaraz has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Alyssa Cordeiro was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Andrea Garcia, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.
Arcadia was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .481. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .429 or higher in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, San Dimas was not the first on the board on Saturday, but they got there more often. They walked away with a 9-4 win over Paramount.
The team relied heavily on Adrianna Rosales, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Tiffany Villegas was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Arcadia's record now sits at 8-1-1. As for San Dimas, their record is now 8-5.
San Dimas' hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Arcadia has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for San Dimas, though, as they've been averaging only 2.6 strikeouts. Will Arcadia keep running through batters, or will the Saints buck the trend?
Arcadia might still be hurting after the 14-1 defeat they got from San Dimas when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Can the Apaches avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
