The South Dade Buccaneers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Southwest Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on December 14th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (South Dade is ranked 562nd, while Southwest is ranked 554th).
South Dade's 17-6 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell to Reagan 49-43.
Meanwhile, Southwest was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 46-41 to Dade Christian. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Southwest has scored all season.
South Dade bumped their record down to 0-3 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for Southwest, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Everything came up roses for South Dade against Southwest when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 64-26 victory. Does South Dade have another victory up their sleeve, or will Southwest turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
