The Kirbyville Wildcats's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They took down Veritas Classical Academy 65-49.
Despite the loss, Veritas Classical Academy still got an impressive performance from Ty Merrill, who scored 22 points. The game was Merrill's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Wylie Montgomery was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Kirbyville's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Veritas Classical Academy, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Kirbyville will look to defend their home court on Friday against West Hardin at 4:30 p.m. As for Veritas Classical Academy, they will square off against Diboll at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
