The matchup between Romeoville and Joliet Central on Wednesday hardly resembled the 4-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Spartans blew past the Steelmen 16-3. The match marked the Spartans' most dominant victory of the season.

Romeoville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-13 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.9 runs over those games. As for Joliet Central, they are on a 25-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-28.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Romeoville will challenge rival Plainfield East at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Joliet Central is set to face off against their familiar foe Plainfield South at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
