While Wednesday's victory was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Connor Salerno. He wasn't messing around on Wednesday, striking out six batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). The pitching appearance was his sixth straight with five or more strikeouts.

Salerno's strong effort led Sun Valley over Weddington and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
