Walden Grove won the last time they faced Empire and things went their way on Thursday too. The Walden Grove Red Wolves put the hurt on the Empire Ravens with a sharp 12-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Red Wolves, who have now won three games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Aleck Vasquez made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in earned runs (zero). He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Vaughn Sexton, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February of 2024. Jacob Silva was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

The win made it two in a row for Walden Grove and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Empire, their record now sits at 3-3.

Walden Grove has already played their next contest, a 6-4 loss against Buena on the 11th. As for Empire, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 6-5 defeat against Cienega on the 11th.
