The Slidell Tigers had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They strolled past Metairie Park Country Day with points to spare, taking the game 67-50. That's another feather in the cap for Slidell, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Slidell to victory were Jaden Hookfin and Mike Parlow. Hookfin dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds, while Parlow dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. Hookfin has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jerry Birdlow, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Slidell's victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-8. As for Metairie Park Country Day, their loss dropped their record down to 17-12.
