La Jolla Country Day has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the West Hills Wolf Pack at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (La Jolla Country Day is ranked 342nd, while West Hills is ranked 348th).
La Jolla Country Day had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took their contest at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 36-8 win over Morse. The result was nothing new for La Jolla Country Day, who have now won six matches by 20 points or more so far this season.
It was another big night for Jaden Mangini, who rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also threw for 161 yards and two touchdowns. Mangini was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards. Will Sach did his part by putting the 'special' in special teams, booting in three field goals and three extra points.
Meanwhile, while West Hills put up some points two weeks ago, the same can't be said for Santana. West Hills strolled past Santana with points to spare, taking the game 14-0. The win was just what West Hills needed coming off of a 49-7 loss in their prior matchup.
Their wins bumped La Jolla Country Day to 8-3 and West Hills to 6-4.
