Olathe East waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Shawnee Mission Northwest Cougars an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Olathe East pushed their record up to 22-5 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Shawnee Mission Northwest, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

Olathe East has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Blue Valley on the 20th. Shawnee Mission Northwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
