Kole Doppelheuer Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Belle Vernon got the W thanks in part to Kole Doppelheuer playing the best football he has all season. Doppelheuer rushed for 125 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making four total tackles and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception.
With the win, Belle Vernon broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4. Doppelheuer and Belle Vernon will welcome Laurel Highlands at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Black turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 138 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making five total tackles and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception.
Laurel Highlands is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. Black will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Belle Vernon on Friday.

Tyler Eber Delivers Electric Performance Vs Trinity
Tyler Eber was instrumental in extending Thomas Jefferson's winning streak to seven on Friday. Eber did his part (and then some), rushing for 146 yards and three touchdowns for the 'W'. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 103 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Thomas Jefferson pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Eber and Thomas Jefferson will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Chartiers Valley at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.

Curtis Wade Delivers Best Effort of Season
Belle Vernon was led to victory by Curtis Wade, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Wade rushed for 52 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 92 yards and two touchdowns on perfect 6-for-6 passing.
For the season, Wade has thrown 5 touchdowns while averaging 98.2 passing yards per game.

Brayden White and Co. Win Seventh in a Row
Thomas Jefferson picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Brayden White. White was unstoppable, picking up 131 receiving yards and a touchdown. His receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 100 receiving yards dating back to last season.
For the season, White has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 106.7 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he had three receiving touchdowns.
