Declan Glass and Asher Franklin did most of the damage at the plate: Glass went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double, while Franklin went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave Franklin a new career-high. Charlie Jackson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Plumstead Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Collegium Charter fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Jenkintown on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Drakes by a score of 12-11.
Harrison Mendenhall and Carter Newton stepped up to the plate in a big way. Mendenhall got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs, while Newton went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Newton is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Landon Gustafson, who went 1-for-5 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Collegium Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Plumstead Christian, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Collegium Charter's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Plumstead Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .333. It's a different story for Collegium Charter, though, as they've only averaged .188. Will they be able to contain Plumstead Christian's hitters?
Everything went Plumstead Christian's way against Collegium Charter in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, as Plumstead Christian made off with a 10-0 victory.
