Softball Recap: Clearfield Has No Trouble Against Roy

While Clearfield put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Roy. The Clearfield Falcons blew past the Roy Royals 19-0. That looming 19-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Falcons yet this season.

Jenna Lloyd was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave her a new career-low. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Clearfield got a massive performance out of Addyson Haddock, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Haddock has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Alexandra Bingham, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

The win made it two in a row for Clearfield and bumps their season record up to 5-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Roy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clearfield will welcome Woods Cross at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Roy, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Morgan at 3:30 p.m.
