Verdugo Hills got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Georges Abdulnour out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. William Gharabekyan was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Verdugo Hills is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Roosevelt, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Verdugo Hills' road trip will continue as they head out to face Monroe at 4:30 p.m. on January 29th. Monroe will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1093rd, while Verdugo Hills is ranked 426th). As for Roosevelt, they will head out on the road to challenge South Gate at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. South Gate and Roosevelt are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
