The Gilmour Academy Lancers fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Berea-Midpark Titans on Sunday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 66-63. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Austin Clay was the offensive standout of the game as he dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Devyn Zahursky, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Gilmour Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Berea-Midpark, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Gilmour Academy will be playing at home against Walsh Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Berea-Midpark, they will head out on the road to face off against Valley Forge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
