This season hasn't been kind to the Alliance Christian Gryphons, who are still winless after their ninth contest. They took a serious blow against Linville Hill on Tuesday, falling 97-31. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Alliance Christian has scored all season.
It was another big night for Derian Peterseim, who scored 33 points along with four steals for Linville Hill. Peterseim is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Stephen Smucker, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Alliance Christian dropped their record down to 0-9 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Linville Hill, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Conestoga Christian the next time they take the court. Linville Hill will host Conestoga Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Alliance Christian will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
