The Clarendon Hall Saints lost against the Cathedral Academy Generals back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Clarendon Hall was outmatched by Cathedral Academy on the road and fell 84-40. Clarendon Hall has struggled against Cathedral Academy recently, as their contest on Monday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Bryce Ward was his usual excellent self, going 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 37 points and 0 assists for Cathedral Academy. The game was Ward's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Josh Simmons was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Clarendon Hall bumped their record down to 1-2 with that loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Cathedral Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clarendon Hall will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Jefferson Davis Academy at 7:15 p.m. on January 2, 2024. As for Cathedral Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Palmetto Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Palmetto Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 276th, while Cathedral Academy is ranked 81st).
