The Gobles Tigers shot 8-for-0 (0%) from downtown en route to a disappointing finish on Friday. They took a hard 62-47 fall against the Coloma Comets. Gobles might have entered gameday a little too confident, resting on the laurels of their 60-58 victory against Coloma when they previously met in January.
The Tigers' overall record fell to 11-6. The win -- their third in a row -- raised the Comets' record to 10-7.
The Tigers will take on Brandywine on Tuesday. Gobles is the clear underdog, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one. As for Coloma, they will face off against Watervliet next week. Coloma won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
