Sasha Walker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Bishop Foley got a massive performance out of Abbey Jones, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Meanwhile, Notre Dame Academy came out on top against University Liggett on Tuesday by a score of 6-5 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).
Notre Dame Academy let Lily Phillips and Payton Shively run wild. Phillips went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple, while Shively went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Schultz, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
Bishop Foley's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Notre Dame Academy, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.
Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bishop Foley has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .524.
