Clarence and Orchard Park are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Clarence Red Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Orchard Park Quakers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Clarence took care of business in their home opener two weeks ago. They walked away with a 53-44 win over Sacred Heart Academy.
Meanwhile, Orchard Park entered their tilt with Nardin Academy with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Orchard Park took down Nardin Academy 62-44 on Saturday.
It was another big night for Halle Senfield, who scored 25 points along with six rebounds. The matchup was her third in a row with at least ten points. Maggie Gocella was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with three blocks.
Clarence pushed their record up to 1-0 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.1 points per game. As for Orchard Park, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Clarence came up short against Orchard Park when the teams last played back in January, falling 59-46. Can Clarence avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
