Basketball Recap: Bynum Extends Winning Streak to Four

Bynum had won three straight games and Brooklyn Compean did her part to make it four on Thursday. The Bynum Bulldogs claimed a resounding 61-17 win over the Kopperl Eagles thanks in part to Compean, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals.

Another player making a difference was Madi Westmoreland, who posted seven points in addition to seven steals and six assists. Westmoreland is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Bynum is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.8 points per game. As for Kopperl, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.

Bynum wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 41-10 victory against Cranfills Gap on the 12th. As for Kopperl, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Bynum at 5:00 p.m.
