The Albuquerque Academy Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 24 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Dexter 52-9 on the road. That looming 52-9 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Albuquerque Academy yet this season.
Leading Albuquerque Academy to victory were Lily Skarsgard and Addie Spratley. Skarsgard scored ten points, while Spratley scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Skarsgard also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Noelani Montoya was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Albuquerque Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Dexter, they bumped their record down to 2-8 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Albuquerque Academy will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Goddard at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Goddard will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Mexico Rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while Albuquerque Academy is ranked 31st).
