Sunnyside has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will  square off against the Desert View Jaguars at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. Both teams come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Last Friday, while Sunnyside put up some  runs, the same  can't be said for Mountain View. Sunnyside blew past Mountain View 9-0. The  win was just what Sunnyside needed coming off of  a  10-4 defeat in their prior  game.
  Jose Grijalva made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Grijalva has been consistent recently: he hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Grijalva was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 In other pitching news,  Sabino Gonzalez looked comfortable as he  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (he also didn't allow any  walks).
 Back at the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Alfredo Encinas, who  scored three  runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Michel Muniz, who  went 1-for-3 with three  runs and a  triple.
 Meanwhile, Desert View entered their tilt with Rincon/University with two consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victor by  a  12-1 margin over the Rangers.
  Mark Hollonbeck looked comfortable as he  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.  Cristian Encinas relieved him and did a solid job,   tossing two innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit.
 At the plate,  Yadier Acu?a was  incredible,  going 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases, a  triple,  and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Emilio Lizarraga, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
 Sunnyside's record now sits at 10-6. As for Desert View, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record  this season.
 Both  both teams just can't seem to miss. Sunnyside has been making plenty of contact this season,  having  averaged 9.4  hits per game. However, it's not like Desert View struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  only 5.6  per game. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Sunnyside took their  victory against Desert View  in their previous matchup  back in March of 2023 by a conclusive  8-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sunnyside since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
