On Friday Holcomb take on Kingman/Cunningham . Holcomb are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the matchup prepared for a fight.
Holcomb have had to suffer through a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were able to grind out a solid victory over Larned last Friday, winning 26-14. Junior Drew Hill and senior River Amos were among the main playmakers for Holcomb as the former rushed for 71 yards and 2 touchdowns and the latter caught passes for 107 yards and 1 touchdown. In fact, with nine tackles Amos was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, there's no need to mince words: Kingman/Cunningham lost to Pratt, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 0-42. Kingman/Cunningham were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-28.
Holcomb's win lifted them to 2-3 while Kingman/Cunningham's loss dropped them down to 1-4. Kingman/Cunningham's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Holcomb defensive front that amassed four sacks against Larned, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
