It was a good run, but the Winamac Warriors unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They were beaten by Rensselaer Central 73-34. Winamac has struggled against the Bombers recently, as their game on Thursday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Winamac had strong showings from John Malchow, who scored nine points along with two steals, and William Malchow, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Rensselaer Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Corbin Mathew led the charge by scoring 21 points along with two steals. Mathew is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. Graham Drone was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with two steals.

Winamac will head out on the road to face off against the Blackhawks at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Indiana (Westville is ranked 343rd, while the Warriors are ranked 320th). As for Rensselaer Central, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Oracles at 2:30 p.m. Hopefully Delphi Community focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Saturday.
