There's no place like home for the Northeastern Clinton Cougars, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They strolled past Peru with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 58-42. That's another feather in the cap for Northeastern Clinton, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for Jordan Brown, who scored 28 points. Another player making a difference was Cyle Marshall, who scored 11 points.
Despite the loss, Peru still got an impressive performance from Hunter Eagle, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trenton Taylor, who scored eight points.
The victory got Northeastern Clinton back to even at 8-8. As for Peru, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.
Northeastern Clinton will head out on the road to take on Moriah at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Moriah has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 390 points over their last six games. As for Peru, they will head out on the road to square off against Ticonderoga at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
