The South Hills Scorpions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their 12th straight loss. They were beaten by Chapin 48-7. South Hills found out winning isn't easy when you're outrebounded 12 to 1 on offense.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, South Hills struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only a offensive rebound. South Hills is winless (0-3) when they can't control their own glass like that.
Jasmine Blake was the offensive standout of the matchup as she scored 18 points along with 7 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Chapin's points. Another player making a difference was Summer Blackwell, who scored 6 points.
South Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Chapin, their victory bumped their record up to 3-9.
South Hills is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Denton at 6:15 p.m. on December 5th. Denton is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Chapin, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hanks at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Hanks focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Saturday.
