Branham extended their home winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Kaci Nguyen. The Bruins came out on top against the Piedmont Hills Pirates by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday thanks in part to Nguyen, who had 23 digs and three assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 17 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Branham had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-15, 25-17, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Piedmont Hills still got an impressive performance from Katelyn Young, who had four digs and four aces. Erika Liberato also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Branham's victory bumped their record up to 12-15. As for Piedmont Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-13.

Branham wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Leigh on the 16th. As for Piedmont Hills, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Evergreen Valley on the 16th.
