The Inspired Vision EAGLES pushed their score all the way to 56 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Robinson an easy 78-56 victory.
Despite the loss, Inspired Vision had strong showings from Gabriel Kalala, who scored 24 points, and Tyree Sheffield, who scored 21 points. Sheffield scored a full 37.5% of Inspired Vision's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Frank Ovalle, who scored seven points.
Trevor Stephens was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 34 points and 12 rebounds for Robinson. Those 34 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Stanford, who scored 12 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Inspired Vision has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Robinson, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Inspired Vision will be home for the holidays to greet Life Oak Cliff at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Life Oak Cliff presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Inspired Vision in Texas (Life Oak Cliff is ranked 522nd, while Inspired Vision is ranked 1535th). Robinson will be home for the holidays to greet Burnet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
