The Cory-Rawson Fighting Hornets will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Miller City Wildcats  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Both come into the  match bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Last Thursday, Cory-Rawson was able to grind out a solid  win over Ada, taking the game  6-3.
 Mason Hall spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned  (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 18 Ks.
 On the hitting side,  Dom Moon and  Lane Banner did most of the damage at the plate:  Moon  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while  Banner  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  double. Those  two  RBI gave  Banner a new career-high.  Hunter Cosart was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
 Cory-Rawson  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ada only posted  an  OBP of  .250.
 Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats  on Monday. Miller City put the hurt on Jefferson with a sharp  9-1 victory. Miller City hasn't had any issues with Jefferson recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  win against them.
 The  victory  got Cory-Rawson back to even at 1-1. As for Miller City, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
 Cory-Rawson might still be hurting after the  15-3 defeat they got from Miller City  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2023. Can the Fighting Hornets avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
