Benjamin Franklin's loss came about despite a quality game from Kyle Mott, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and seven assists. Mott also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Christensen, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Arete Prep scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They put the hurt on Scottsdale Preparatory Academy with a sharp 76-52 win. Arete Prep might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three games by 20 points or more this season.
Benjamin Franklin bumped their record down to 4-7 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Arete Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
