Alex Grospe was his usual excellent self, scoring 31 points along with eight assists and six rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of South River's points. Another player making a difference was Eddie Herrera, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.
The win got South River back to even at 8-8. As for Middlesex, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
South River won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Chargers at 10:00 a.m. on January 27th. Spotswood has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 803 points over their last 11 matches. As for Middlesex, they will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Metuchen is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.8 points per game this season.
