The Jackson Aggies waltzed into their game Friday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They managed a 60-56 win over McIntosh. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Jackson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Micah Caster out in front who scored 20 points. The contest was Caster's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keeyun Chapman, who scored eight points along with six blocks.
Jackson pushed their record up to 8-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for McIntosh, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-2.
Jackson's road trip will continue as they head out to face Baldwin County at 2:00 p.m. on December 28th. McIntosh will finish 2023 at home by hosting Bryant at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
