After having lost a blowout in their previous game against East Rowan, South Rowan was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Concord Spiders a 10-0 shutout. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by nine runs or more this season.
The result came thanks to Remi Hagerty's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, South Rowan let Kynlee Dextraze and Leisha Carter run wild. Dextraze scored a run while going 3-for-4, while Carter scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Dextraze a new career-high in doubles (two). Eva Shue was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
