Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Wyoming East

Wyoming East had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Independence Patriots. Surprisingly, this marked the Warriors' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

While Wyoming East won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-16, 25-23.

Wyoming East's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lauren Staton, who had 25 assists and five digs. That's the most assists Staton has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Kenzie McGraw, who had 14 digs and two assists.

Wyoming East's win bumped their record up to 23-15-3. As for Independence, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-21-6.

As of now, neither Wyoming East nor the Patriots have any future games scheduled.
