It was a good run, but the Larimore Polar Bears unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 64-57 to Hatton/Northwood. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Several Polar Bears players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Michael Myers, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds. Myers has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Jace Collison was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with two steals.
Larimore's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Hatton/Northwood, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10.
Larimore will head out on the road to face off against Drayton/Valley-Edinburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Drayton/Valley-Edinburg has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 11. As for Hatton/Northwood, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Park River/Fordville-Lankin at 3:00 p.m. on January 27th. Park River/Fordville-Lankin is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
