Chariton have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Friday. They take on Des Moines East at 7:00 PM. The teams both are strolling into their game after big wins in their previous games.
Chariton were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. Everything came up roses for them against Saydel last Friday as the team secured a 73-17 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 63-0.
Meanwhile, Des Moines East put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They put a hurting on Mason City to the tune of 55-14. With Des Moines East ahead 35-14 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Their wins bumped Des Moines East to 3-4 and Chariton to 6-1. After the lofty point totals in their previous games, we'll see if they're able to heat things up even more while facing each other.
