The Montgomery Catholic Knights had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against T.R. Miller by a score of 24-14 on Friday. Montgomery Catholic's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
It was another big night for Caleb Mccreary, who rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, and also threw for 116 yards and a touchdown while completing 81.8% of his passes. Jayden Phifer made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Montgomery Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 12-0. As for T.R. Miller, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Montgomery Catholic will square off against Jacksonville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Jacksonville is ranked 50th, while Montgomery Catholic is ranked 22nd). T.R.
