The Montgomery Catholic Knights had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against T.R. Miller by a score of 24-14 on Friday. Montgomery Catholic's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
It was another big night for Caleb Mccreary, who rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, and also threw for 116 yards and a touchdown while completing 81.8% of his passes. Jayden Phifer made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Montgomery Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 12-0. As for T.R. Miller, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Montgomery Catholic will square off against Jacksonville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Jacksonville is ranked 50th, while Montgomery Catholic is ranked 22nd). T.R. Miller does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
