T.R. Miller has gone a perfect 10-0 against W.S. Neal recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Tigers will be playing at home against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. T.R. Miller is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, T.R. Miller turned things around against Blacksher on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Bulldogs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since April 12, 2025.
Ollie Billingsley made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Billingsley was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, T.R. Miller let Madi Anderson and Ellie Miller run wild. Anderson went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Miller went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs Miller has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Baggett, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
T.R. Miller always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They are 4-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, W.S. Neal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 11-2 to Excel. Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Panthers since Thursday.
Lily Dubose spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and eight unearned) runs on five hits.
On the hitting side, W.S. Neal saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Shelly, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Shelly has hit this season.
T.R. Miller's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for W.S. Neal, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
Thursday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. T.R. Miller has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .449. However, it's not like W.S. Neal struggles in that department as they've averaged .433. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
T.R. Miller was able to grind out a solid victory over W.S. Neal in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, winning 13-9. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
