Softball Recap: Saranac Gets the Win

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Saranac and Plattsburgh meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Spartans walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Hornets. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Saranac's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Plattsburgh, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saranac will take on Beekmantown at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Plattsburgh, they will challenge Ticonderoga at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Sentinels will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight.
