Given Sacred Heart Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while Menlo School is ranked 269th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sacred Heart Prep had a senior duo take command as TJ O'Brien scored 22 points along with two steals and Drew Wagner scored 16 points along with two steals. Tyler Hogan was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds.
Sacred Heart Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Menlo School, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
Sacred Heart Prep will head out on the road to challenge Harker at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Harker: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Sacred Heart Prep has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road. Menlo School will take on Eastside College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
