St. Pius X entered their tilt with Pembroke Hill on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Raiders 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Frank Kirchhoff looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, St. Pius X got a massive performance out of Cooper Schergen, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave Schergen a new career-high. Tavian Ladenthein was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

St. Pius X always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

St. Pius X's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Pembroke Hill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-10.

Coming up, St. Pius X will be playing in front of their home fans against Maryville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pembroke Hill, they will head out to take on Warrensburg at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
