Corning came tearing into Thursday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Rector Cougars. For the Bobcats, this counts as revenge for the 7-3 win the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Corning's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2.
