Rockford has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Dassel-Cokato Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Monday, Rockford didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Spectrum, but they still walked away with a 39-35 victory. That's two games straight that Rockford has won by exactly four points.
They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Mae Weiss and
Sienna Thomas, who each put up seven points.
In what's become a running theme this season, Dassel-Cokato gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They beat Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted by the very same score they won with last week: 67-21. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Dassel-Cokato has posted yet this season.
Rockford's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-8. As for Dassel-Cokato, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Rockford suffered a grim 53-32 defeat to Dassel-Cokato in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Rockford avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
