The Stanton Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against Wakefield by a score of 65-52. That looming 65-52 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Stanton yet this season.
Olivia Hupp was the offensive standout of the game as she almost dropped a triple-double on 11 points, 15 rebounds, and nine assists. That's the first time this season that she posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Rebecca Stoddard, who scored 17 points.
Stanton now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Wakefield, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stanton won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Pender at 3:00 p.m. on December 16th.
