Elijah Thomas Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Checotah got the W thanks in part to Elijah Thomas playing the best football he has all season. Thomas' receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 117 receiving yards dating back to last season. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making seven total tackles (3.0 for loss) and defending a pass in addition to snagging two interceptions.
Thomas is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Stigler on Friday. When Thomas last faced the Panthers back in November of 2023, he picked up 159 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.

Peter Lee Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
On Friday, Eufaula had to settle for second even though Peter Lee put up the best numbers he has all season. Lee rushed for 361 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.0 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Eufaula is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. Lee and Eufaula will look to defend their home field on Friday against Holland Hall at 7:30 p.m.

Titan Hix Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Titan Hix continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fifth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least two rushing touchdowns. He rushed for 108 yards and six touchdowns, and also threw for 426 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt. The performance once again pushed his average passing yardage north of 300 yards per game (307.4).
This year, Hix has thrown 15 touchdowns (and and only 3 picks) while averaging 307.4 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 97.4 passing yards per game.
