After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three matchups, Alisal finally came back down to earth  on Friday. They lost  28-7 to the Soquel Knights. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while the Knights are ranked 61st).
  Sam Whelan had another great game (as  he tends to do), throwing for 310 yards and three  TDs while completing 72% of his passes, and also rushing for 57 yards on only six carries for Soquel. A healthy portion of  Whelan's aerial production (84 yards to be exact)  went to  Cash Moran, who also brought in a  receiving touchdown.
Alisal's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Soquel, the  win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
