Basketball Recap: Vista del Lago Triumphs

Vista del Lago won the last time they faced Rim of the World, and Ja'Marion Jackson did his part to make sure it happened again. Everything went the Vista del Lago Ravens' way against the Rim of the World Fighting Scots on Saturday as the Vista del Lago Ravens made off with a 54-33 win thanks in part to Jackson, who went 7 of 17 on his way to 18 points and four steals. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (four).

Rim of the World's loss came despite strong showings from Alex Ramirez and Tom Krzeminski. Ramirez almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards, while Krzeminski posted eight points in addition to eight boards and four steals. Ramirez is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Vista del Lago's record is now 2-5. As for Rim of the World, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Vista del Lago wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 82-51 loss against Canyon Springs on the 10th. As for Rim of the World, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-32 defeat against El Modena on the 10th.
