After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lausanne Collegiate, the St. George's Gryphons were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Harding Academy by a score of 56-44. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for St. George's considering their 25-point performance the matchup before.
Despite the loss, Harding Academy saw an underclassman step up: Bella rose Austin scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Smith, who scored ten points.
St. George's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Harding Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-11.
St. George's will head out on the road to square off against the Lynx at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harding Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Defenders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
