One team took the elevator way up and another took it way down in the power rankings this week. A special shoutout goes to Mount Si's senior Cale Millen, who scored six total touchdowns in the team's most recent match.
Can't Touch This
Mount Si got a 54 - 10 win over Kentwood last week, and a key reason for the win was senior Cale Millen. Millen threw for 374 yards and five touchdowns. That performance landed Millen among the top power-ranked players for the week.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of last week's main attractions was the confrontation between Lake Stevens and Lincoln, 7th and 12th in the power rankings, respectively. Lake Stevens scooted by Lincoln with a score of 38 - 21. The win boosted Lake Stevens a satisfying six spots in the power rankings.
No Stoppin 'Em
There were a lot of high-scoring contests in the power rankings last week, but the 100-point effort in this one put it right at the top of the list. Bothell strolled past Kennedy Catholic with points to spare, taking the game 59 - 41. Bothell saw its record improve to 2-0 and its power rank jump ten places as a result.
Next Week's Big Game
If you are itching to watch a first-rate contest, no game is supposed to fit the bill better than the one between Puyallup (9th in the power rankings) and Sumner (8th). Both teams have their heads held high after dominating their previous opponents. Don't be surprised if the score for this one pushes triple digits as Sumner and Puyallup both racked up points last week.
